Well, come on, it IS a time for sharing your resources and what you can afford , or are able to give, isn't it? (OK, yes it's also that famous time about the really important person who did magical stuff with loaves and fishes, and it's his famous rebirth after that bad third day of his you-know-what... *don't scare the kids*).
In OMNIBUS Alliance - we celebrate lots of things. We celebrated our website being 8 years old, we celebrated a weird eclipse of the sun (In N. America), and of a few birthdays around here, but that's a small thing. What's not that small, is how we keep our friends close, and alliances alive and in good shape. We celebrate Easter for many reasons. Twisted Steel loves it for the chocolate easter eggs. So you know what? This Easter, spread some love and more beside - give someone you know, and maybe even treasure a wee bit - a mention about our website and bring them into the game! How about that? Aw, come on, people. Wait, is that crickets I hear in the distance? No, wait. Come back! We 're only kidding. Okay, okay. Get them bloody Easter eggs, then. And cook something nice for your oul mammy!

In the news we hear that Afghanistan - after spending 2 trillion dollars of tax payers money and countless lives to shore up this (kind of broken) country of various resources (eg - opium, Lithium, etc) - is about to fall out of the nest into a dark unknown fate. Not helping it is a disparate group of helpers hidden in the background Like a convenient group of useful rebel players who are thugs for hire). Or bad news about Ukraine and Russia, and that International Space Station threat (about dropping it on a certain country). And no, this is not the script of some Spy movie or a Geostorm sequel. This is a real thing, folks.
When the Afghans wanted uncle Sam off their back, they obligingly accepted bounties from other countries with money and other goodies - to help rid themselves of American rule and American occupation. Yes, sadly there are such players on the map who offer such uh, services. What could we - the people who play a war game called Empire Z learn from this? Well, we got a nice ebook coming out soon, and we thought we would offer a tiny extract from it. The book is called "How To Train Your Tyrant". Besides being loaded with something called Game Theory, it's a power play manual of many sorts. We will publish it here and some other online e-commerce stores when its ready. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" If there should be a local threat that constantly usurps you, and means to do you harm, then try using bounties. Bounties really work a treat. Ask someone to take care of a problem for you, quietly, and never let your immediate enemy know it was really you who made it happen. Take out a secret bounty on your enemy or tyrant. A bounty could be paid in so many different ways. Use your imagination. How many ways could you think of achieving this? (The conventional money system has a gray area and alternative market, for example). Now think "bartering" and you are there. They did this in medieval times and it worked just fine. Everyone needs something you have, and they could help you out for the right amount (in Empire Z we call them resources - RSS). Sometimes you can even barter with stuff you don't even own yet. War games are fun. So remember enemies can be taken care of in many ways. If they accuse you of orchestrating anything, you casually deny everything, and carry on doing your own thing, that you've been doing all along. Of basically undermining your enemy, by conditioning or training them to believe the wrong thing, so that your actions when revealed - take them by surprise. You just have to learn how to train your tyrant. Our book is due in the first halt of 2022. Stay tuned! Internet radio is all the rage in 2022. Actually it has been around for years, but thanks to mobile smart phones, iPads and tablet pcs, it has exploded in popularity. Everyone is on radio and putting out audio programs about their favorite subject or topic. Could you handle being the next Joe Rogan or Susu_Jpg? (She does a lot of gaming videos, and puts it on Twitch. That's a thing!)
Maybe you could be the next internet radio broadcaster, with your very own radio program. And you could be earning income from it, as you ponder how to work from home and put your internet and laptop to better use. It may involve earning and putting some hours or minutes into programs or just quick three minute bursts of chat, news and humor about whatever tickles your fancy. Games, sports, books, IoT, marketing, online learning, educational subjects, law, medicine... there is no limit to what you can podcast about. Check this link to Radio.co - it will explain about everything you need to know about starting your very own internet radio station and channel, including what equipment you might need. 2020 should be our year. But your year too. The year that everyone grows and keeps developing. In Empire Z, some alliances seem to be slipping a bit, but maybe it's just us. Alliances in some parts and regions are not growing as they used to. We don't know why. But here is a few pointers to help.
On another note, we own an small but growing alliance over in the game COMMANDERS. Pop by and say hello to Sharkfin. You can download "Commanders" game app on iOS and Android. (It is a wee bit slower than Empire Z, but a great game to grow and develop cities.)
Do our readers enjoy books? How about book on Zombies? Well World War Z is a big favorite of ours. Brad Pitt in that film that was directed by Marc Foster, was just amazing.
But have you read the book? It's dark and grisly. Can we gently suggest you try it out? We provided a useful link below. 2019 is a challenging year in Empire Z. In Empire Z, the aim of the game is to grow and avoid getting hit by other alliances. The issue is size. Yeah, basically the other guys are way bigger than us, and it's very annoying that they have huge power and ability in war and game terms. They rule, and while some smaller alliances try to grow while dodging the hits, while ducking under shields, the small fry get criticised for being too chicken to drop the shield and risk getting hit just to satisfy the bigger players. The game, like all games and sports, promotes a kind of behaviour we should be all well used to by now. We are noticing a familiar sight now through out some regions, namely the rise in the number of dead cities, or players who just drop the game and no longer see the point or purpose of playing it. Sure, they could put a hand in the pocket, find money and then pay for that extra and important boost to power, troops and weapons. Lets throw in extra money for power ups, gold coins, timer boosts, leaders and enhanced extras. They all help. They can make a difference. They just cost money. So my question of the day is this - if the top one per cent of the population owns the most and can accomplish the most, how does the metric hold up in gaming terms, or does the one who spends the most win the most? There is a lot more than one per cent of gamers able to afford unbelievable amounts of power ups to make their cities and alliances by far the best in the game. But unless the creators of Empire Z do something to balance out the chances of the small players' success versus the top billed mega players guaranteed success, this is always going to be just a numbers game. And the numbers count the currency spent on the game as guarantee of a win, leaving those who play it for fun and with no more currency than sheer wit, try to eke out an existence in a war game that might almost be over before it ever begins, let alone gets anywhere. In a future blog, we are going to put up a bizarre list - a TOP TEN of best suggestions to make the game better for all players, and allow smaller players who have a low or no budget approach to Empire Z (or its sister game "Commanders") to get ahead and actually grow better, quicker and more successfully through a better managed alternative game play. Interesting times ahead, we think. On a seperate but related note, we are planning a book which we will be offering people here very soon as a download. The sample cover ad is on the side bar of your web screen (or further down your mobile fone screen if viewing that way). The books gets inside the mind of the typical general in Empire Z and also Commanders, since these games are very related. Till later. Why is Empire Z "lagging"? In Region 29 over the weekend, there has been a visible slowing down of things in the game. People have been complaining about screens freezing, marches pausing, delays in actions such as builds and missions and researches.
